The ASP-L2 BT is a 2-chanel 9.5 Volt RMS preamp line driver with an internal signal splitte that gives 4 channels of output. 

Like the ASP-L6, the ASP-L2 BT takes the low power preamp signal ofthe head unit and boosts it by 24 dB. 
This boost in the preamp output means you can now get full power from your amplifier witoout using the amp gains. 
To your sound system, this means less noise, less distortion, and more dynamic range. 
With its oversized power supply, each output channel of the ASP-L2 BT can pur out 9.5 volts RMS or 14 volts peak preamp power. 
And, the ASP-L.2 BT has a Bluetooth receiver for music streaming. 
The ASP-L2BT1 also hasadash mount remote level control. 

Lets take it a step further: If you do most of your listening to on a iPod, MP3 player, or other Bluetooth devise, why do you need a head unit ? 
Really, when you have an ASP-L2 BT line driver you have your Bluetooth input, your signal line driver, and your volume control. 
So the head unit becomes the optional accessory ! 
You don’t need a head unit if you don’t want one. 
If you have a motorcycle, boat, classic car, hot rod, 4-wheeler, or side by side RV, you probably don't want to have to put a head unit in the vehicle.
